Policies & Practices

Whether you are a first-time horse buyer or a seasoned equestrian, please read our stated business policies and practices when selling horses.

FARM POLICIES

  1. This facility is not a rescue or humane society.

  2. ALL horses are wormed on a rotating schedule every sixty days in the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November.  The wormer is purchased from Jeffers Equine Supply. 

  3. The trimming and shoeing needs of the horses are seen to by Phillip MacDonald, a professional farrier certified by the BWFA (http://www.bwfa.net/).

  4. The medical and health needs of the horses are seen to by a licensed veterinarian from Woodford Equine Hospital, Hagyard Equine Medical Center, and other local vet clinics.

  5. Aside from horses on specific diets, ALL horses are given unlimited access to hay and water.  Grain is fed to horses depending on their specific needs.


SALES POLICIES

  1. All listed sales horses are considered for sale until a deposit or payment is received.

  2. All buyers have thirty (30) days from the time of purchase to return the horse on trade only.  This "Thirty Day Trade-Back Guarantee" can be repeated as many times as necessary to find buyer the "right horse" for them.

  3. NO REFUNDS.

  4. We welcome and encourage everyone looking to purchase a horse to have the horse evaluated by a veterinarian or other professional.

  5. Horses will not be held without a paid deposit:

    • A deposit is 10% of the horse's purchase price, minimum of $100.  The deposit amount IS counted toward the final purchase price.

    • A deposit is non-refundable.

    • A deposit holds a horse for 14 calendar days from the time the payment is received.

  6. Horses are selected for their temperament, conformation, soundness, and overall quality.  Unless otherwise stated, all horses are considered sound and healthy with no vices or behavioral issues.


TRADE POLICIES

  1. *All trades have a minimum $100 trade fee.*

  2. Traded horses become the property of Jessica Lewis upon trade.

  3. Traded horses will be given time to settle in and be handled, ridden, and evaluated for their overall skill and potential.

  4. Traded horses will be sold to appropriate and suitable homes based upon each horse's particular needs or situation.


CONSIGNMENT POLICIES

We do on occasion, sell horses for other people.  If you have purchased a horse from us, and are now looking to sell it, please contact us.  If you have a horse that may fit the criteria of horses we offer for sale, please contact by e-mail (horsecampusa@aol.com) with details.


DONATION POLICIES

  1. This facility is NOT a rescue or humane society.

  2. All donated horses become the property of Jessica Lewis upon donation.

  3. Donated horses will be given time to settle in and to be handled, ridden, and evaluated for their overall skill and potential.

  4. Donated horses will be sold to appropriate and suitable homes based upon each horse's particular needs or situation.
