Are you the leader or member of a group that has an interest in horses?  Schedule your next group outing our field trip at Stone Crest Farm.  We are located only 3 miles outside of downtown Frankfort.  We are a short drive from Lexington, Versailles, Midway, Georgetown, Lawrenceburg and other local cities.

Perfect for Church Groups, Home School Groups, School Trips, Civic Groups and more!  Schedule your next group outing at Stone Crest Farm and enjoy horseback riding, a menagerie of farm animals and the country atmosphere.

 For those of you who are leaders of Girl Scout Troops or Boy Scout Troops, schedule a trip so you can earn your horsemanship badges here.  Jessica Lewis, owner and instructor at Stone Crest Farm was a Girl Scout for 13 years and earned both her Silver and Gold Awards.

Our "Groups and Field Trip Season" runs from April 1st - October 30th.  You will need to schedule your group or field trip at least 2 weeks in advance and a deposit is required to reserve your day/time. (Cancellations due to inclement weather or an emergency situation will be rescheduled.)

Each group horse session lasts 3 hours.  Price is determined by the number of riding participants.  Signed release forms are required for all riding participants.  An unlimited number of non-riding guests are welcome to come and enjoy the farm atmosphere.  We also provide picnic tables for you to sit and also to eat any food you wish to serve.

Our horses and ponies are selected for their calm temperaments and training.  We provide all the tack and equipment necessary.  Riding helmets are provided and are required for all riding participants 18 and younger.  Riding will take place in an enclosed riding arena and under our supervision.  Beginners and young children will be led around on horse back.

In addition to the horses, we also have an array of Other Animals on our farm which are also friendly and available for petting and handling during the group horse session.  We have puppies, kittens, and rabbits that we have raised and are very friendly.  We have ducks, geese, chickens, guineas, and turkeys for your viewing pleasure.  We will also provide bread to feed them if you would like to coax them closer for photos.

• When: Groups and Field Trips are scheduled from April 1st - October 30th.  You may schedule your trip on a weekend or weekday night.  Groups and Field Trips must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Where: The Field Trips take place at Stone Crest Farm, located 3 miles outside of downtown Frankfort, Kentucky

• Cost: Determined by the number of participants

  • $200/up to 10 riding participants - 2 hour horse group outing ($50 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your day/time)

  • $350/up to 20 riding participants - 3 hour horse group outing ($75 non-refundable deposit required to reserve your day/time)

  • Additional riding participants can be added for $10/each

All group members must follow all Stone Crest Farm safety rules.  All riding participants must have a signed release form by a parent/guardian in order to ride the horses.
